Welcome to the international-aholic corner!
Maybe you already know what a chocolate-aholic is (not that you might be one!) or you keep on being told how work-aholic you are, or maybe you have just watched the new movie “Confession of a shop-aholic” … oh well … if you are here it is because you are for sure an international-aholic.
A genuine, nutty, Peter Pan style personification of a pure international-aholic breed – and to you, fellow international-aholic friend – welcome with all my heart!
With all my international-aholic heart indeed!

And here is our corner – to share our international-aholic successes, addictions, frustrations, misses, laughs, angers, discoveries …
This is the corner for international-aholics who believe the world is an open, free and exciting land rather than one border after the other.
This is the corner for international-aholics who don’t believe a language can inhibit communication or a culture mutual understanding.

This is the corner for international-aholics who believe the limit in their international lives is just their imagination!
Have fun!

The Job Market Glass

Why is the Job Market glass always half empty? I just tried to google “Job market news” and here are the first 4 results:

Profits fall as jobs dry up in private sector ... Job conditions will get much worse this year … The economic slump has created a tough job market for college graduates ... Job market continues to shrink ...

My fellow international-aholic, I just refuse to adhere to this depressing, gloomy and panicking mood – this is just not us! This is just not the way of thinking of a smart, open, energetic and upbeat generation!

There are plenty of opportunities out there – you just have to go and grab them! Everywhere, in your own country, in 50 different other countries – coz, as international-aholic, we just don’t have borders right?

Am I dreaming? Noooo, I am talking facts here! And I also have proofs!
My best friend (One of the most international-aholic person on this planet by the way”) and I worked on her CV last week … cutting the story short – she got a call from an head-hunter exactly the morning after submitting her CV. This is real!
Not enough? In this exact second, Totaljobs has currently 97,723 from 3,581 companies across the UK … do you think one could be for you if you are currently looking for a change?

Let me say that again:

There are plenty of opportunities out there – you just have to go and grab them!

Sitting and waiting won’t help and crying at the news won’t either … making the sun shine with your optimism will …

So, what do you say my international-aholic friends? I say that the Job Market glass is for sure half full … so … CHEERS!

What do you think?

Take care!!
Giulia
